The Marketing students played the game Adverts to Adverts with Mrs. Lori Gyhra. This game is similar to Apples to Apples, where students determine what type of advertising techniques are used for different ads displayed on each card.

Congrats to Ms. Aeden Gyhra, Mr. Don Jacobs, and Mrs. Lisa Blecha for tying for the most votes from their peers as our Staff Members of the Month!
Ms. Gyhra was nominated for being a natural leader who brings positive energy to school every day. She takes on many roles beyond her classroom duties and does so much for our school. Staff shared how fun, easygoing, and supportive she is, and how quickly students connect with her. She is also doing an awesome job as Head Track Coach and helping with Speech, and the kids are loving it!
Mr. Jacobs was nominated for always being in the hallway between classes greeting students and making them feel welcome. He helps students feel good about themselves and shows that he truly cares. His positivity is infectious, and he is a calm, steady, encouraging presence for everyone. Staff also shared that Mr. Jacobs is always willing to help students and staff whenever needed.
Mrs. Blecha was nominated for all the ways she supports our school. She goes out of her way to make students and staff feel appreciated and valued. She helps students with academics, post-secondary planning, and social-emotional needs, and she works hard to help them stay on track for graduation. Her compassion and follow-through make a big difference every day.
Thank you to all three of you for everything you do for Pawnee City Schools—we are lucky to have you!
