Today some students traveled to Peru State College for the Golden Readers contest. One group in the picture book category received 4th place. A second group in the Chapter book division received 6th place and a third group, also in the chapter book division, got a 3rd place medal. It was a successful day! We finished the day off with lunch at El Portal in Auburn.

Four students from Pawnee City High School have received a scholarship from The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation. The Foundation annually awards scholarships to Nebraska residents attending Nebraska, public universities, state or community college. The scholarship provides funding for any part of a student's cost of attendance! Congratulations! It was a busy day for our 8th graders! We started at SCC Lincoln for a college visit, ate a great lunch at Cheddar's and ended with a career visit to Duncan Aviation! So many academic and career exploration opportunities! All of the programming is made possible part to a grant through EducationQuest!

Did you know? Earlier this month at the State FFA Convention, PC JH students had a fantastic showing in the State Agriscience Fair!
