We landed in Washington D.C. and hit the ground running! We visited Capitol Hill, the White House, Washington Monument and the World War II Memorial. Check out the symbolism with one of the pieces in the World War II Memorial, it's from this past school year Play Production! We also checked out the Supreme Court and Library of Congress!
Huge thanks to the PC Education Foundation for contributing financially to each student's trip!

Thanks, Dads!

Happy Flag Day

We are proud to accept a grant to support our backpack program that was made possible by Land O' Lakes and Farmers Cooperative: Dorchester. Thank you Mrs. Terra Blecha for your work and coordination on this grant.

A great night for football as Jesse McLaughlin, Jett Farwell, and Anthony Kling represented Pawnee City in the Nebraska vs. Wyoming 6-Man All-Star Game at Chadron State College. Nebraska came away with a big 68-28 win! A perfect way to cap off their outstanding high school careers. We’re so proud of everything these three have accomplished on and off the field.
Huge thanks to the awesome cheering section who made the long trip to support them—your energy made the night even more special!

Wishing these guys the best in their next steps. Thank you for all that you've done for our students and our school!

#MentalHealthAwareness Month
Physical challenges and serious health struggles in friends and family can impact their mental health. Although we might not be able to change someone’s illness, we can change how they experience it. During #MHAM2025, take the time to share a meal, take a walk, or just listen—it can make a world of difference. 🌎💖samhsa.gov/find-support/helping-someone

The eighth grade careers class ventured into the Arts and Manufacturing career cluster today! Students learned how to thread a needle and how to sew a basic running stitch! Some even attempted to sew a button on! Lots of good hands-on career exploration!

Huge congratulations to PC senior, Anthony Kling for being awarded the Salvation Army D.J.'s Hero award! This year, sixteen Nebraska high school students were recognized for their determination and resilience while overcoming obstacles and hardships. At the awards luncheon, we were joined by Olympians, Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Lolo Jones. The Olympians shared their stories of failures and also success. They encouraged the students to set high goals, show up every day and to lean on their support system.
Anthony also got some track advice and encouragement!!
Congratulations , Anthony!

Eighth grade careers students are working in groups to design and build arm casts that won't feel itchy for patients. Using just a few basic materials, they're learning how to solve problems and getting a fun introduction to what it's like to work in engineering or healthcare. Mrs. Schmit will be judging their creations on Monday to pick the winning design!

Last PBIS pep rally of the year! Students reviewed the sidewoak and restroom expectations playing a game of catch. Hula hoop pants make great fun for catching the correct expactations. A big thank you to the spotlight students for showing respectful, responsible and safe behavior in April.
Congratulations to the three students that won the PC raffle drawing prizes.
