Pawnee City Public Schools is pleased to offer families the opportunity to participate in the Child Hunger Backpack Program through a partnership with the Food Bank of Lincoln and our district.
Each backpack may include items such as Rice Krispies, Ramen noodles, chicken jerky bites, pudding, Frosted Flakes, peanut butter, jelly, Apple Jacks, canned chicken, rice, pancake mix, pancake syrup, pasta entrées, canned tomato soup, mashed potatoes, granola bars, canned tuna, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti pasta, canned vegetables or black beans, and canned fruit.
Food bags will be sent home every Friday during the school year. If there is no school on Friday, bags will be sent home on the last school day of that week.

Pawnee City School added another district championship for the year. After a fantastic day filled with personal bests, the team finished at the top of the D1-1 field with 11 state qualifiers.

PC Speech was at it again today for their final regular season meet. These students gave up the first day of their spring break with a 5:30 am leave time and it ended with a tie for team sweeps champs with Thayer Central.
Highlight of the day was definitely our freshmen OID breaking into finals--check out some amazing faces from finals--and a triple gold medal day for Tyler.

The 8th and 9th grade ag classes took a field trip to Kimmel Orchard, where Agventure Day was hosted by UNL pre service ag teachers. Students learned about soil, bees, and entrepreneurship while creating their own candles, ribboning soil, and competing in an entrepreneurship pitch contest!
