Congratulations to Pawnee City junior Kailey Hartman on being selected to attend the Attorney General Youth Conference at the Nebraska State Capitol! She’ll have the opportunity to hear bill debates, engage in discussions with senators, visit the Nebraska Supreme Court, enjoy lunch at the Governor’s Residence and so much more. What an incredible opportunity to grow and learn! We know you’ll do a great job representing PC!

Pawnee City School added another district championship for the year. After a fantastic day filled with personal bests, the team finished at the top of the D1-1 field with 11 state qualifiers.

PC Speech was at it again today for their final regular season meet. These students gave up the first day of their spring break with a 5:30 am leave time and it ended with a tie for team sweeps champs with Thayer Central. Highlight of the day was definitely our freshmen OID breaking into finals--check out some amazing faces from finals--and a triple gold medal day for Tyler. The Speech Team is heading to Thayer Central for their last meet before districts! The session will start at 8:30.

The 8th and 9th grade ag classes took a field trip to Kimmel Orchard, where Agventure Day was hosted by UNL pre service ag teachers. Students learned about soil, bees, and entrepreneurship while creating their own candles, ribboning soil, and competing in an entrepreneurship pitch contest!

Join us this Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm for our Sunday Speech Showcase at Old Guys Brew. Snacks provided and drinks available for purchase.

Come see what these talented students have been up to with their final showing before their district meet. We'll make you laugh, make you cry, and make you proud to be from PC.

Please enter the coffee shop door, as performances and seating will be in the south room. Feel free to come and go in between speeches, and stay for as little or as long as you'd like.

Bright sunshine and even brighter smiles! The Kindness Crew spent part of their day sharing handwritten notes with staff, spreading kindness, positivity and a little extra joy around the building!

JH Wrestling is heading to Nebraska City High School for an Invite. The matches will start at 4:00PM today.

PC Speech students had an impressive showing at Fairbury on Saturday. In a field of over 20 schools, the team was 5th overall. As they continue to push forward with individual and team goals, these students are talented, busy, and resilient.

One regular-season meet left at Thayer Central this Friday, and then it’s the public showcase on Sunday, before the D1-1 District meet next Monday at Raymond Central.
