The Pawnee City Cross Country team ran great at the Weeping Water meet on Thursday, Aug. 24.
The six junior high girls ran a great race. Medal winners were Haylee Plager, 7th; Emily Koster, 8th; Bella Seitz, 9th, and Addison Boverhuis, 10th. Ainsley Rauner and Lilah Yunghans also ran well.
Junior high boys Kolbrin Farwell, Zeke Ferebee, and Ryan Plager worked hard and finished strong.
Varsity girls Morgann Friedly and Anna Koster received medals and placed 14th and 15th respectively.
Cael Johnson finished strong in the varsity boys division.

As the fall sports season gets underway, please remember there are a lot of fake livestreaming pages on social media that are scams. Please be careful to avoid them! These sites go by a variety of names, but often they try to use the school’s name to pretend to be streaming a sporting event or contest. Only trust links posted directly by schools' official pages. Just because a site claims to be associated with Pawnee City Schools doesn’t mean that it is legitimate.
Signs that a site is fake include:
• Posted by a generic page (i.e. "Live Sports") and not a school or media outlet you are familiar with.
• Includes generic photos or wording.
• Asks you to login or requests payment.
Most legitimate livestreams will be shared only by regular school social media pages or local media outlets. These sites are usually on YouTube, NFHS or Striv. Stay safe & happy streaming!
Parents - Please take a moment to check the PowerSchool accounts for all of your children to make sure all form have been filled out (there may have been some added). Due to the heat, the location for tomorrow (Tuesday) night's volleyball triangular is being changed. Games will now be played at WEEPING WATER. The schedule will be as follows:
