It was the seniors last day yesterday, but not before we had our final drawings!
The winners of the May FAFSA drawing were Isaac Seitz and Kayla Snyder!
Our second drawing was for the grand prize for completing Senior Passports. At the beginning of the school year, each student got a passport that had a variety of tasks. As students completed tasks, they earned stamps! Eight students completed the passport and received a gift card! One grand prize winner was drawn from the group of eight and Isaac Seitz was the lucky winner again!
Wow, teachers are feeling showered with appreciation as the School Board helped kick off Teacher Appreciation Week. School Board members led an assembly at school this morning and raffled off some great prizes donated by local sponsors to our staff. Pictured are a few of the lucky winners!

NHS students did their highway cleanup this afternoon.
Today some students traveled to Peru State College for the Golden Readers contest. One group in the picture book category received 4th place. A second group in the Chapter book division received 6th place and a third group, also in the chapter book division, got a 3rd place medal. It was a successful day! We finished the day off with lunch at El Portal in Auburn.

Four students from Pawnee City High School have received a scholarship from The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation. The Foundation annually awards scholarships to Nebraska residents attending Nebraska, public universities, state or community college. The scholarship provides funding for any part of a student's cost of attendance! Congratulations!
