On Friday, September 18, the Pawnee City band marches through their last parade of the year at the Richardson County Fair. The band was led by Drum Major Haylee Plager, and was followed by the Pawnee City cheerleaders.
When asked if they thought the parade went well, Symanthea McDonald replied, “I think the parade went well for me personally because I stayed in step the entire time and played everything correctly.”
When asked how they felt about this being the last parade of the year, Justin Baehr replied, “I feel kind of sad that it's the last parade of the year because I won't get to march in those parades again.”
When asked about what they would change about the parade, Addison Boverhuis replied, “I would have changed the parade date to a cooler day.”
After the parade, the band members split into groups to enjoy the food at the fair. Their next event will be the Fall Concert on October 20.
