On Saturday, August 22, the Pawnee City Band travels to Falls City Cobblestone Parade for the first time. The band was led by Junior Drum Major Haylee Plager. When the band finished playing, they split up into groups and stayed to enjoy the fair.
When asked about the event, Justin Baehr said, “I enjoyed the atmosphere of the crowd better than the Johnson County Fair. There was a great selection of food trucks, too.”
When asked if she would like to participate in the parade again, Mrs. Veleba replied, “Yes, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the crowd cheering on all the bands, and the number of people who got to participate.”
The next event the band will perform in is the Richardson County Fair on Friday, September 18.
