For our yearbook class, I got the privilege of interviewing Megan Morrison and Josie Friedly from PC Little Learners. Megan is the director and runs the day-to-day of the daycare. Josie is the president of the board.
This daycare offers all-day watch for your kids if you are busy and have work to do. On a daily basis, they have eight kids. In the summer, it can get as busy as 20 kids a day.
On a typical day, they start with free play in the mornings and then snack right after. Then it is circle time, where they talk about numbers, colors, and other things. They also recently bought a new curriculum that helps the children become better prepared for school. The children are even doing a program where they read 1,000 books before kindergarten. This is really helping the kids learn a lot of new things.
This daycare was formed not too long ago. They are not overly focused on making money; the daycare just wants to provide a good learning environment for kids and pay its employees a fair wage.
Megan said her favorite part of their job is working with the kids, and they both love watching the kids grow and become good people.
Thanks, PC Little Learners Daycare, for all the things you do for the community!
