On February 20, 2026, the Pawnee City High School Band performs its final pep band performance of the 2025-2026 school year, as the Indian varsity boys took down the Southern Raiders on their home court.
After asking some senior band members to reflect on their pep band experience, Maddy Osborne said her favorite song to play was Eye of the Tiger because of its fast tempo and the percussion part. She says she will miss playing the school song before every game, and her favorite memory was playing the pep band outside when the weather was still warm.
Another senior, Larkyn Vlcek, says she will miss playing Funkytown, her favorite song, at all home games. Larkyn’s favorite memory was racing Mrs. Veleba to get the pep band music out to the field first.
