For our yearbook class, I had the opportunity to interview Russell Weeks, the founder of Russ & Sons LLC.

Mr. Weeks has three other coworkers who work for his company, his sons, Russell and Jackson, and his wife, Katelyn.

They offer multiple services throughout the year, both indoor and outdoor, but prefer working when it's warmer outside. During the summer, they mow lawns, and during the winter, they plow driveways and sidewalks. Recently, when it was colder, he built a deck for someone's house. He also provides minor plumbing and electrical work, roofing and flooring, and his wife provides the cleaning service.

I asked him why he started his business, and he answered that he started in high school for the money, and that in Houston and Tennessee, he did freelance work. In 2022, Russ & Sons LLC was formed.

Mr. Weeks said that the hardest part of his job was being fair to each customer, making sure they get what they need in the correct way, balancing money, making sure he doesn't spend too much or too little, not being greedy towards his customers, and setting the right prices for his jobs.

Mr. Weeks said that his favorite part of owning and working for himself was being his own boss and having the freedom to work the way he wanted.

Thank you, Mr. Weeks, for taking the time to answer my questions!
