On February 24, 2026, the Pawnee City boys basketball team travels to Falls City Sacred Heart to play in their Subdistrict game. The Indians lost with a score of 44-83. Leading the way for scoring this game was Atreyu Kling with 20 points and Jordan Wernimont with 16 points. Other scorers that game were Tyler Tegtmeier, Colin Fender, and Braydon Frakes. This game wrapped up the season for the Indians.
When asked about the game, Payton Rose replied, “I’m going to miss the bus rides to games.” He also mentioned his favorite memory from the season was beating Lourdes and getting their first win of the season.
What a season for the Indians, with many hard-fought battles and coming just short in a bunch of games. The boys finished the season with four wins and 17 losses.
