On February 20, the Pawnee City varsity basketball team plays against Southern Raiders on their home court. The Indians won with a score of 57 - 42. The scorers of the game were Jordan Wernimont with 23, Atreyu Kling with 16, Tyler Tegtmeier and Braydon Frakes with six, and Payton Rose with four.
When asking the coaches some questions about the game, Coach Sejkora responded, “I thought at times we shared the ball well on offense and were able to get good quality shots. For the most part, defensively rebounded well and limited their second-chance points. We need to continue to get better at defense and running our offenses with precision.”
Braydon Frakes responded, “As a team, we shot and passed the ball well. Something I did well as an individual was hustling on every play during the game. I need to improve my shot selections on three’s, and I need to better my confidence to drive to the rim."
Following this game, the boys then played in Sub Districts at Sacred Heart.
