On February 16, 2026, the varsity girls' basketball team travels to Weeping Water to play Sterling for the first round of sub-districts. Pawnee City lost with the final score of 42-45. Scorers for this game were Emalyse Gottula with 17 points, Kinsley Benson with six points, and Maddy Osborne, Taelyn Blecha, and Adelyn Sisco all with four points.
The Indians had a great season, finishing at 9-14. The main accomplishment for this season was making the MUDECAS B-division championship game, where we unfortunately lost with a score of 24-39.
When asked about the season Abby Dietrich said, "We did a lot better than we ever did my whole career!"
Haylee Plager was also asked about the season, and she said, "I am looking forward to next season to basketball season to becoming even better."
