On January 30, Pawnee City students travel to Hastings, NE, to participate in Singing Youth of Nebraska. These students were Addison Boverhuis and Isabella Seitz. There were about 150 kids from seventh, eighth, and ninth grades across Nebraska who participated.
When asked about the event, Isabella Seitz stated, “My favorite song was El Vito because I liked the tempo. I really liked singing in a big choir, but I didn't like singing all day.”
When asked some questions about what she knew about Singing Youth of Nebraska, Mrs. Laura Dieckgrafe stated, “I'm not sure how long it has been going on. Mrs. Robison took students for many years before I came to Pawnee City. It rotates between being nominated by your director and sending in an audition. This year it was a recorded audition that I sent in.”
