On January 20, the Pawnee City varsity girls play at home against HTRS. The girls lost with a score of 17-41. Our lead scorer was Madelyn Osborne with five points, followed by Kinsley Benson and Taelyn Blecha with four points each, and Emalyse Gottula and Haylee Plager with two points each.
When asked about the game, Madelyn Osborne replied, “We did a good job of getting the other team's leading scorer in foul trouble in the first half of the game. We could have done a better job of scoring with the ball. The shots we took were mostly smart, but they were just not falling. I think that working on free throws will help us in the future because that's where we can get a lot of our extra points.”
