The Pawnee City varsity boys played in the annual MUDECAS tournament the week of January 13, 2026. Their first game was against HTRS, and the Indians lost with a score of 39-43. During this game, Jordan Wernimont scored 13 points; following closely were Payton Rose with 12, Atreyu Kling with six, Tyler Tegtmeier and Braydon Frakes with three, and Colin Fender with two.
In their second game, Pawnee City fought Meridian. During this game, Jordan Wernimont scored 19 points, followed by Atreyu Kling and Braydon Frakes with eight each, Payton Rose and Ryan Plager with four each, and Tyler Tegtmeier with two. This game ended with a score of 43-57, with Meridian coming out on top.
The boys will travel to Falls City on January 23 to face Sacred Heart on their home court.
