On Tuesday, January 8, the Pawnee City varsity girls' basketball team plays Johnson-Brock at home. The Indians lost with a score of 29-48. The leading scorers were Kinsley Benson, Kailyn Jensen, and Madelyn Osborne with 6, followed by Emalyse Gottula with 5, and then Ericca Gyhra, Haylee Plager, and Adelyn Sisco with 2.

Coach Kluck stated that he enjoyed coaching this game the most because it was fun coaching such a competitive game. We showed a lot of effort and gave Johnson-Brock a good run for their money. This was a test to see whether we could compete with some of the best schools in our area, and although we didn't secure the win, we held our own. We're only a few points worse than that team.

The Indians' next game is on Monday, January 12, at 5:30 p.m. in Beatrice against Meridian at the MUDECAS Conference Tournament.
