On December 5, the Pawnee City boys varsity faced off against the Frankfort Wildcats. The final score was 36-54 with the Wildcats coming out on top. Atreyu Kling was the leading scorer for Pawnee City with 13 points, followed by Jordan Wernimont with 10 points. Other scorers for the Indians were Braydon Frakes, Ryan Plager, Payton Rose, and Tyler Tegtmeier.

When asked about things that the team needs to improve on throughout the year, Coach Sejkora responded, “With a week between games, we are hoping to put in some more offenses that can help us create better shots. We need our turnover numbers to continue decreasing. We need to improve on rebounding out of our zone defense and playing tougher defense without fouling.”

When asked what he could improve on throughout the year, Liam Glathar stated, “The biggest thing I need to improve on is my court vision and just seeing all the plays that can happen.”

The Pawnee City boys basketball team will face the Nebraska City Lords Catholic on Tuesday, December 16.
