On December 5, the Pawnee City boys varsity face off against the Frankfort Wildcats. The final score was 36-54 with the Wildcats coming out on top. Atreyu Kling was the leading scorer for Pawnee City with 13 points, followed by Jordan Wernimont with 10 points. Other scorers for the Indians were Braydon Frakes, Ryan Plager, Payton Rose, and Tyler Tegtmeier.
When asked what he would like the team to improve on throughout the year, Coach Sejkora responded, “We need our turnover numbers to continue decreasing. We need to improve on rebounding out of our zone defense and playing tougher defense without fouling.”
When asked what he could improve on throughout the year, Liam Glathar stated, “The biggest thing I need to improve on is my court vision and just seeing all the plays that can happen.”
The next game will be against Sterling at home on Tuesday, December 30.
