The 2025 yearbook class is working on a project this semester about our local businesses. I was offered the opportunity to interview Mark Sunneberg at Sunneday, located in Pawnee City, NE. Throughout the interview, I asked Mark a variety of questions. Here is what I found out:
Sunneday was started in 2016 when Mark and his family moved back to Pawnee City, and he began designing products in his garage. Mark is currently the owner and president of Sunneday. As president, he oversees all the sales and products that come into the building.
Mark designs the products; once he has finished designing them, he sends them to a different company, such as Walmart, Menards, Costco, Home Depot, or Lowe's, for them to create the product. Once they are done, they ship the product back to Mark, who approves it, puts it online, and starts selling it.
Sunneday offers a variety of products, including swimming pools, splash pads, outdoor showers, cooling products, handheld fans, organizers, garden hoses, and, most notably, their retractable hose reels.
Thank you to Mark Sunneberg for taking the time to sit down for an interview with us!
