As we focus on Pawnee City businesses, I had the opportunity to interview Angie Kramer, one of the Little Brown Jug owners. She and her husband, Jamie, have been in charge of the business since February 2024.
What products does the Little Brown Jug sell? They sell pop, deli sandwiches, candy, energy drinks, breakfast food, adult beverages, snack packs, brats, and hot wings. Some of the newer products include wings, brats, pickled meat, and new energy drinks. When customers come into the store, their favorite items to grab are quick grab-and-go options and adult beverages, especially during deer season.
When asked about the biggest challenges of owning a business, Angie responded, "Trying to keep people happy and keeping what people like in the store." One of the most essential things to Angie while owning the business is providing excellent customer service and maintaining consistency.
