Pawnee City Assisted Living

I had the opportunity to interview the manager of the Pawnee City Assisted Living (PCAL) as part of a project for my yearbook class. I interviewed Caralyn Friedly and asked her questions about the building, available jobs, and activities for residents.

The Pawnee City Assisted Living facility was built in 2018. It accommodates 24 residents; at the time of this interview, there were 21 residents. The activities in which residents participate include playing instruments, playing bingo twice a week, exercising, and playing games. Additionally, a local minister visits and conducts services for them.

PCAL has studio apartments, 1-bedroom apartments, and two deluxe apartments, along with a kitchen and dining room, theater, spa, and beauty shop. Residents have their own bathrooms and a kitchenette with sinks in their rooms.

If you are looking for work in healthcare, consider jobs available at assisted living facilities that support older adults, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need and deserve.

When asked what inspired her to become the Pawnee City Assisted Living manager, Mrs. Friedly replied, "The opportunity opened itself, and I thought it would be a great fit."

Thank you to Mrs. Friedly for taking time out of her day to let me interview her.
