On October 9, the Pawnee City volleyball team plays against Diller-Odell and HTRS in the last home game of the season. The girls started off with an exciting first set against Diller-Odell, but ended up losing against both teams.
When asked how the games went, Shayla Puhalla replied, “We played very well as a team in the first set against Diller. As for the HTRS game, that was the best we have competed against them so far this season.”
Despite the losses, this was a lively night in the Pawnee City gym. The girls’ first game began with our Past, Present, and Future night. Before the teams warmed up, the alumni players competed in a serving game to win prizes.
Before the Pawnee City and HTRS game, the players were announced with their parents in honor of Parent and Senior Night. This season, there were three seniors who were recognized and got to walk with their parents through the tunnel made by their fellow teammates. The three seniors included Abby Dietrich, Madelyn Osborne, and Shayla Puhalla.
