Coach Brumbaugh commented on the game, “The Battle of Pawnee County was just that, a battle. The game came down to Lewiston needing an onside kick with 24 seconds left to make a final drive to win the game. However, Pawnee recovered the onside kick and secured the victory. Lewiston came out ready to play and shocked the Indians, scoring twice before Pawnee finally settled in. Pawnee finally got things rolling and took the lead in the second quarter and didn't look back. The heat was a huge issue for both teams. It was a battle for all the players. At the end of the game, Lewiston battled back down three scores to cut it to a six-point game. Although they came up short in the end, the Tigers battled extremely well and have nothing to be ashamed of. The Indians again were put to the test, and senior leadership got them to the finish line with yet another win.”
The team's next game will be this Friday at home against Red Cloud starting at 7 pm. Go Indians!
