On Friday, October 10, Pawnee City students participated in the annual Don Jacobs Dodgeball Tournament as part of Homecoming Day festivities.
The junior high students played the first game, with the sixth grade facing off against the seventh grade. The sixth graders defeated the seventh graders and advanced to the championship match against the eighth graders. The eighth-grade students defeated the sixth-grade and won the junior high tournament.
The high school tournament began with seniors vs. freshmen and juniors vs. sophomores. The seniors and juniors won their rounds and advanced to the championship. The freshmen defeated the sophomores in the consolation game and got third. A best-of-three series decided the champion, and both classes played hard, with the juniors ultimately taking home the victory with a score of 2–1.
