On August 22, juniors Dylan Layne and Adelyn Sisco, freshman Teagan Turnbull, and eighth grader Aubrey Sisco from Pawnee City School compete at the Nebraska State Fair.
Dylan showed chickens and rabbits at the State Fair. He was awarded best in show for rabbits. Dylan did this with a white New Zealand rabbit, Seven Brew.
Teagan showed rabbits at the State Fair. He was rewarded with best in show, champion breeding rabbit, champion commercial rabbit, and supreme champion rabbit. Teagan got all of these accolades with a Californian rabbit, E.
Adelyn showed a Maine Angus, Oaklyn. In her breeding class, she was awarded a blue ribbon, as well as achieving a purple ribbon in showmanship. Adelyn placed in the top 25 showmen out of 200.
Aubrey showed two animals at the State Fair. Her breeding heifer, Olive, and her market steer, Snickers. In her breeding class, she got fifth out of 20 cows. Aubrey also got sixth out of 22 cows in her market class.
