On Monday, September 15, the Pawnee City junior varsity football team hosts Diller-Odell. Pawnee City lost with a score of 0-52.
When asked what the team did well, Coach Scott Brumbaugh stated, "The young guys are starting to understand the offense better. However, that is also an area of growth. We struggle a bit on offense until we fully understand our blocking assignments. The one thing that makes learning our offense so difficult for the JV is that they are asked each week to run a scout offense. When you are running someone else's plays all the time, it makes it tougher to learn the plays that we run regularly. It takes time and commitment to understand the new terminology and goals we are trying to accomplish during our games."
The boys have one more game this season. They will travel to Sterling to play on September 29. Good luck!
