Atreyu had 63 rushing yards for one touchdown, and Saung Bothavong had eight rushing yards.

Coach Brumbaugh commented on the game, “After a long battle hard fought game the Indians came out on top. The defense wasn't spectacular early, but it settled in as the game went on. The defense ended the night making a stand that stopped Meridian's ahead drive. At the end of the night, we played hard and got a win. As always, we could have played better, but we gritted out the first win of the year, and that's always the hardest one.”

The Indians will play again on Friday, September 19, 2025 in Hampton. Go Big Red!!
