Emily Banks

Mrs. Emily Banks has been reassigned to a new position at Pawnee City High School this school year!  Mrs. Banks has taught science at Pawnee City High School for the past three years and was assigned to teach all high school students this school year. She is also the assistant high school girls' basketball coach and the new assistant track and field coach.

When asked what her past teaching jobs were, she said, "I taught 8th-grade science and computer science at Lelfer Middle School in Lincoln.” Mrs. Banks also taught in other schools around Southeast Nebraska and in Texas while in college. When asked about her goals while in Pawnee City, she said she wanted to coach Pawnee City High School student throwers at state and complete her Master’s degree during her career here. 

Mrs. Banks commented on why she decided to come to Pawnee City School, “I wanted to be closer to home and my family. My husband and I wanted to live and raise our future family in a small town.” When asked what her favorite memory at Pawnee City School was, she said, “One of my favorite memories at Pawnee City is kayaking with some students during Safety Day, my first year here.”
