The speech team travels to Auburn on February 10 for their fourth meet of the season. The speech members who participated at the meet included Madison Fender, Neveah Blecha, Kaitlyn Svoboda, Layla Fetherkile, Cael Johnson, Tyler Tegtmeier, Larkyn Vlcek, and Kailey Hartman.
When asked what event she participated in, Layla Fetherkile responded, “I did poetry, I think I did well for my second meet. In my first round, I got fourth, and in my second round, I got second.” She continued to add that for next time, she needs to slow down and learn some movements to go along with it.
When questioned about what she participated in, sophomore Larkyn Vlcek replied, “I did humorous prose. I got third in my first and fourth in my second rounds.”
Placing at the Auburn meet were Kaitlyn Svoboda and Kailey Hartman. Kaitlyn placed 3rd with her Entertainment speech about Blondes, and Kailey placed 5th in Extemporaneous.
The next speech meet will be Saturday, February 24, at Diller-Odell.
