On January 16, the varsity girls basketball team plays HTRS in Pawnee City. Unfortunately, the girls lost with the ending score of 66-37. Leading in points was Madelyn Osborne with 13, Emalyse Gottula with 8, and Kinsley Benson with 7.
When asked what the girls did well, Mr. Timothy Kluck responded, "I think we played with a lot of intensity against HTRS. We contested shots well and played aggressively on defense." When looking ahead to their next game, coach commented, "Overall, we've just got to stay more disciplined, especially defensively, and start taking better care of the ball offensively."
Their next game will be played on February 8 in Palmyra.
