On November 30, the boys compete at their first wrestling meet at Palmrya. Jesse McLaughlin commented on the meet, “It was a dual meet with four other teams, so there were no individual places but only a team placement. The team placed 5th due to many open slots in our roster. Individually I did pretty well, going 3-1.” Jesse went on to say that he could improve on his condition and scrambling before the next meet, and Luke Hunzeker said he could improve on sprawling.
Coach Shane Maloley was asked about practice this year and for a prediction on the season. He stated, “We practice in Table Rock; we have two large classrooms we have mats set up in. My prediction on the season is that we will have a great all-around record. My hope is we have a total of more wins than we have losses with all the wrestlers.”
Their next meet is in Cook on December 16, starting at 9:30. Good luck, wrestlers!
