The girls play their first home game against Frankfort on Friday, December 1, 2023. Unfortunately, the girls lost with a score of 61-14. Leading the team in scoring was Emalyse Gottula with 5 points, followed by Neveah Blecha and Kinsley Benson with 3 points each, Madelyn Osborne with 2 points, and Madolyn Gottula with 1 point.
Head coach Mr. Kluck commented, “The Frankfort game didn't go the way we wanted it to. They're a great team, maybe the best team we'll play, so it was a valuable experience to see what a team like that can do. It also showed us what we need to focus on to improve.”
When asked how this year's team compares to last year's, Mr. Kluck responded, “One good thing about the team this year is that they're young and want to improve, which gives them a lot of opportunity. I don't know if we're more talented than last year's team, but there seems to be a lot more fight and desire for improvement.”
The next basketball game is a home game against Lourdes Central Catholic on December 12.
