On Friday, October 6, Pawnee City plays their final home football game against the Sterling Jets. The Indians came out on top with a score of 44-13. Trey Marteney commented that he felt that the boys had great teamwork, but they need to work on running the offense better. Trey said the highlight of his game was “taking a cleat to his chest.”
The boys had some outstanding stats from the game. Jett Farwell and Anthony Kling both scored 18 points leading the team to victory. Philip Layne scored 8 conversion points. Atreyu Kling leads the team with 11 tackles; followed by Jesse Mclaughlin with 10; Wyatt Blank with eight; and Trey, Jett, and Anthony with seven. Trey also had one sack.
Congratulations to the boys and their undefeated season. The boys are preparing to play Dorchester in their last regular season game at Dorchester on Friday, October 20.
