The high school football team plays Parkview Christian in Pawnee City on Sept. 29.

The high school football team came back with a win against last year's state competitor with a final score of 18-13. Jett Farwell led the Indians in scoring with all 18 points for the team. Anthony Kling led with 93 rushing yards, and Jett had 81, totaling 174 yards. The most receiving yards goes to Jett with 48 yards. Jett led with 129 all-purpose yards followed by Anthony with 95.

When asked what the boys did well during the game, coach Scott Brumbaugh responded, “I thought the boys had a great fight during the game. They didn't have the best start and very quickly gave up hope. However, they just kept working until good things began to happen.”  The team has been focusing on fundamentals to prepare for their Homecoming game against Sterling. When asked what the boys have improved since their last game, he replied, “The defense improved. They held an outstanding team to only two scores.”

Their next game will be played at Meridian on Friday, Oct. 13.
