High School Football Against Red Cloud

On September 15, the Indian football team battled on their home field against Red Cloud. They defeated the Warriors with a score of 58-22. When asked about the game, coach Scott Brumbaugh said, “The boys improved from their last two games.  They played with lots of energy, and their blocking greatly improved.  It was nice to see them do such a great job taking what we practiced and applying it to their game.” When asked if they did anything different this game, Coach Brumbaugh mentioned, “Coach Amundson does have a different game plan this year for the defense, and I feel that was a big part of our success.  The boys' communication on both offense and defense was the big factor.” Coach added, “As long as they are all on the same page, good things will happen.”

Anthony Kling led the team in total points with five touchdowns and six total conversion points. Jett Farwell had two touchdowns, and Atreyu Kling had one. Philip Layne scored a total of four conversion points as well. Jett led the team in total tackles with 13, followed by Atreyu with 11 and Justin Pierce with seven. Anthony led the team with 272 total all-purpose yards, followed by Jett with 74, and Atreyu and Trey Marteney with 17.

The boys’ next home game will be played against Parkview Christian on September 29. We will also be recognizing the parents and seniors of the Cross Country team and the Football team.
