The junior high football team plays against Southern/Diller-Odell in Pawnee City on Sept. 5.
The first game didn’t go as planned for the junior high boys and their coaches. When asked what the team did well, Mr. Amundson said, “Being good teammates, our players did an excellent job of being positive towards each other.”
Mr. Kluck responded, “There were definitely spurts of good things that happened for us during the game.” They had a few nice runs and some good tackles. But overall the coaches think they needed more practice time as a team. Mr. Kluck continued, “In our next game, we're going to focus on being a little meaner and working a little harder.”
Their next game was played at Falls City Sacred Heart on Sept. 11.
