On Wednesday, September 6, Pawnee City School will have their second annual Safety Day. When asked about Safety Day, Mr. Niss answered, “The activities for Safety Day programming include some from last year along with new stations.” Organizations returning from last year are the Pawnee County ambulance, fire marshall, Bryan Health “Stop the Bleed,” and NPPD. New presenters, weather permitting, will be Nebraska Game and Parks, Bruna Implement from Humboldt, UNMC, CHI Health, and the flight crew from Air Methods, Defenders of Tomorrow.
Mr. Niss continued, “Pawnee County Memorial Hospital and Pawnee City Public Schools work as partners to organize this day. Juli Habegger plays a HUGE role in identifying and organizing the presenters.”
This year's Safety Day is not on an early dismissal day. Instead, students will start with homeroom, and run a modified schedule. Presenters will be here from 9:00-2:30.
