Pawnee City Faces Tough Competition at the HTRS Speech Invite

By Alexa Cline, Senior

The speech girls of Pawnee went all out, scoring the team five awards at the HTRS invite last Saturday, the twenty-eighth of February. While not all of these awards were for being in the top six, as per usual, this meet was set up differently than most of the others. At HTRS, the speech kids competed in their first two rounds before finals were posted. Listed with those names that made it to finals were “Honors”, or kids that-- despite not making it in the top 6-- were great competitors of the day and would move on to compete for the next highest rankings.
