The Lady Indians place 3rd in the MUDECUS Class B Basketball Tournament

     The Lady Indians competed in the MUDECUS Class B Basketball Tournament that ran from January 12th to the 16th. The number one ranked Lady Indians play the number eight ranked Parkview Christian the first day. Pawnee City demolished Parkview Christian with a final score of 52-10. Senior, Jenna Habegger led the team with 24 points. Senior, Shelby Hundley finished the game with 9 assists.
    The second day of the tournament the Lady Indians faced the Raiders. This was a very close game. At halftime the score was 17-21 in favor of the Raiders. Senior, Jenna Habegger led the team with 10 rebounds. Starting the fourth quarter the score was 29-30, again in favor of the Raiders. Sophomore, Sabre Menninga finished the game with 6 assists. Unfortunately the Indians couldn’t finish on top, the Lady Indians lost 41-43.  
     The last game of the tournament was against the HTRS Titans. This was the second time the Indians have played the Titans. The team shot 50% from the field and 40% from the free throw line. This helped the Indians finish 40-23, defeating HTRS for the second time. Olivia Farwell, Shelby Hundley, and Jenna Habegger earned Honorable Mention.
